Robbers Attack Calabar Christmas Village, Rob Singer Kiss Daniel (Read)

December 26, 2016 0

Fun seekers in the early hours of Monday scampered to safety after armed robbers stormed the Calabar Christmas Village while a popular Nigerian musician, Daniel Anidugbe, aka Kiss Daniel, was performing.
PUNCH Metro learnt on Monday that the robbers, whose numbers could not be ascertained, stormed the village at about 1am and shot repeatedly into the air while dispossessing people of their valuables.
It could not be confirmed if anyone was killed in the incident, but it was learnt that several people were stabbed.
It was learnt that some others, who sustained gunshot injuries, had been hospitalised.
The Calabar Christmas Village, which is located in the precinct of Calabar Municipal Council Secretariat, opens for 24 hours from December 1 to December 31 every year as a central location of revelry.
It was not clear if Kiss Daniel was injured, but an eyewitness said the robbers rushed to the stage while the pandemonium was on and succeeded in removing some items from the musician before he was whisked away by security operatives.
An injured shop owner in the village, Glory Andem, told PUNCH Metro that the presence of robbers became obvious when some spectators started throwing bottles at the musician.
She said, “It was a serious situation and I got injured. What happened was that some guys came into the village and tried to rob Kiss Daniel when he was singing, ‘Oya talk to me o mama.’
“They were throwing bottles and other things at him. Before we knew it, they brought out guns and started shooting. Some security men immediately rushed to the singer. But even with the security, the robbers rushed at him and removed his clothes and collected things from him.
“They would have killed that guy. To be honest, I don’t know how he managed to escape. You know there are several thousands of people in the Christmas village usually and the situation led to a serious pandemonium.
“They broke up everything in my shop. They took all my money. They robbed a lot of shops. Our chairs were broken. Everybody was running at the same time. It was a terrible experience.
“Several cars were vandalised. They broke the cars to steal from them. At a point, the lights went off and I thought I was going to die. As I speak with you, I have a serious cut from the incident and I want to go to a hospital to take a tetanus injections.”
But the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Jimoh Ozi-Obeh, said it was not a robbery attack, but a misunderstanding between the organisers.
He said the original plan was that Kiss Daniel and other musicians would perform at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar, but the venue was changed to the Christmas village without any notice to security agencies.
“There was no robbery incident in Calabar and nobody was attacked by robbers in any other part of Cross River State. What happened was that the government had initially planned to host the musician at the stadium, but the plan was changed to the Calabar Christmas Village. They probably had misunderstanding with the organisers. It was the change of venue that was not properly organised,” he said.
Efforts to get the state government to comment proved abortive as no official was willing to speak.

Breaking News: Founder Of MMM, Serge Mavrodi Makes Important Announcement On Account Restriction NAIJA NEWS

December 18, 2016 0

A Statement Credited To The Face Of The Mavrodi Mundial Moneybox – Serge Mavrodi Has Been Addressed To Nigerian Journalists And Other Financial Experts Reporting The Rumoured Crash Of The Wonder Bank Which Froze The Accounts Of Members Till The 13th Of January, 2016 Over Suspicious Reasons Of Heavy Financial Withdrawals Against The Yuletide And Purported Intimidation From The Media.

In the stinking message titled “Appeal to Journalists from Sergey Mavrodi” and disseminated from the official Facebook page of MMM Nigeria, Mavrodi takes a swipe at news reporters over their coverage of the Ponzi Scheme that has orchestrated a national panic among its 3 million members in Nigeria.
He assured troubled subscribers of the full operation of the money-doubling initiative at the stipulated date in January, 2017 after the yuletide.
Meanwhile, Naijaloaded couldn’t ascertain as at press time if the press release was directly from the Russian ex-convict, Mavrodi.
Read the full report below:
Appeal to Journalists from Sergey Mavrodi
Dear journalists, “analysts” and all kinds of “experts”!
Please stop using MMM to gain cheap popularity. Leave us alone and let us work without interference. I’m just astonished by your irresponsibility and cynical attitude. Interests of millions of people, your fellow citizens are at stake. Don’t you have any sympathy for them? Why are you fueling hysteria around MMM and provoking a panic? Why are you doing this so diligently and persistently, what is your purpose?
In fact, absolutely all your provocative and worthless articles and “analyses” (I said “worthless” because you do not have any real information about what happens in the System, and might have never had; you simply invent everything, fabricate it) are merely negative: “MMM has collapsed!!!.. MMM will not be working in January!!!..” etc. Are you intentionally presenting all of it in such a manner and whipping up tension by any means possible in order to increase the ratings of your publications and attract attention to them? Don’t you care about people at all?
So, nothing has collapsed, and MMM will safely resume its work in January, as announced. Suspension of work for holidays is a usual thing, merely working moment, no more than that. It would have remained a normal, just a part of the usual routine, and might have gone almost unnoticed if it were not for your totally cynical and irresponsible attempts to advertise yourself, create a scandal out of nowhere, and make the most of this news topic in any possible way.
Again, leave MMM alone and let us work. Nothing has collapsed, and MMM will perfectly resume its work in January. We Can Change the World!

See The Huge Python Snake That Was Sighted In Anambra State

December 18, 2016 0

An unnamed young man currently undergoing his Industrial Training in Anambra, South-eastern part of Nigeria took pictures of a long python snake that was killed by some locals just before it ended in a pot of soup.

Read his interesting account about the creepy creature below:

“So when I decided to do my Industrial training in Anambra it was just for my love for the state, its beautiful girls and the environment in general. I never knew I was going to get the thrill of a lifetime. I’ve seen such huge reptiles on Tv and online but part of me was really seeing it as unreal till yesterday.

“Took some time off from work to take in a view of the new environment we just started a project in, a serene, airy village setting( a farm settlement actually) when I noticed a group of people surrounding something , I decided to go take a peep, to my amazement it was something i’ve longed to see for a long time. First thing that came to my mind was sharing on social media.”

Looks like Anambra is populated with these exotic reptiles, I wish the government can come up with a law to protect these animals I mean before I could say jack they were already dissecting the creature.”
